Periodontics
Treating the foundation, not just the tooth.
Gum disease is inflammation of the tissues that hold your teeth in place. In its early form — gingivitis — it is reversible. Left untreated it progresses to periodontitis, in which the supporting bone is gradually lost and teeth become loose.
Gum Disease Treatment
What it involves.
Gum disease is often painless in its early stages, which is why it is so frequently missed. Bleeding when brushing is not normal, and is usually the first sign worth acting on.
Our periodontal care is led by Dr. Nitubroto Biswas. Treatment begins with a thorough assessment of the gums, followed by deep cleaning of the root surfaces. More advanced cases may require surgical treatment to access and clean deeper areas, and to help regenerate lost support.
